Barangay Santa Jacobe

Barangay Santa Jacobe is a small barangay in the municipality of Lopez, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santa Jacobe had a population of 657. This made it the 51st largest of 95 barangays in Lopez by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Jacobe accounted for approximately 0.69% of the total population of Lopez, which stood at 94,657 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Santa Jacobe changed from 468 to 657, a shift of +40.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Lopez. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santa Jacobe as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lopez is a municipality comprising 95 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Jacobe, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Quezon, which contains 1,242 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Santa Jacobe ranks 823rd by 2020 population.
