Barangay Lakandula

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Lakandula is one of the administrative divisions of Mabalacat City in Pampanga, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lakandula had a population of 8,387. This made it the 10th largest of 27 barangays in Mabalacat City by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Lakandula accounted for approximately 2.86% of the total population of Mabalacat City, which stood at 293,244 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 6,786 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 8,387 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +23.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lakandula as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Mabalacat City is a city comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lakandula, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
