Barangay Mabiga

Barangay Mabiga forms part of Mabalacat City, a city in Pampanga, and is classified as a very large barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mabiga had a population of 24,042. This made it the 4th largest of 27 barangays in Mabalacat City by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Mabiga accounted for approximately 8.20% of the total population of Mabalacat City, which stood at 293,244 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 19,056 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 24,042 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +26.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Mabiga is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Mabalacat City is a city comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mabiga, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pampanga, which contains 538 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Mabiga ranks 8th by 2020 population. Pampanga is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

The barangay's legislative and executive affairs are handled by a Punong Barangay and the Sangguniang Barangay, elected nationwide during the Barangay and SK Elections. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
