Barangay Ligaya

Situated in Mabini, Batangas, Barangay Ligaya is one of 34 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ligaya had a population of 1,024. This made it the 25th largest of 34 barangays in Mabini by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ligaya accounted for approximately 2.01% of the total population of Mabini, which stood at 50,858 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ligaya changed from 889 to 1,024, a shift of +15.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Mabini. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ligaya as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Mabini is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ligaya, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Ligaya ranks 864th by 2020 population.
