Barangay Mainit

Barangay Mainit is a small barangay in the municipality of Maco, located in the province of Davao De Oro, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mainit had a population of 940. This made it the 28th largest of 37 barangays in Maco by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mainit accounted for approximately 1.13% of the total population of Maco, which stood at 83,237 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mainit moving from 873 residents to 940 residents, an intercensal change of +7.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mainit as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
