Barangay San Roque

Barangay San Roque is a small barangay in the municipality of Maco, located in the province of Davao De Oro, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Roque had a population of 1,385. This made it the 21st largest of 37 barangays in Maco by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Roque accounted for approximately 1.66% of the total population of Maco, which stood at 83,237 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Roque moving from 1,564 residents to 1,385 residents, an intercensal change of -11.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Roque as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
