Barangay Santa Lucia

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Santa Lucia is one of the administrative divisions of Magalang in Pampanga, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santa Lucia had a population of 9,673. This made it the 2nd largest of 27 barangays in Magalang by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Lucia accounted for approximately 7.79% of the total population of Magalang, which stood at 124,188 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 8,883 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 9,673 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +8.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Santa Lucia is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Magalang is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Lucia, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pampanga, which contains 538 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Santa Lucia ranks 44th by 2020 population. Barangay Santa Lucia is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
