Barangay Tinapian

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Tinapian is one of the administrative divisions of Manito in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tinapian had a population of 1,226. This made it the 8th largest of 15 barangays in Manito by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tinapian accounted for approximately 4.69% of the total population of Manito, which stood at 26,162 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tinapian changed from 1,165 to 1,226, a shift of +5.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Manito. Barangay Tinapian is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Manito is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tinapian, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Albay, which contains 720 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tinapian ranks 432nd by 2020 population.
