Barangay Bogo

Situated in Maria, Siquijor, Barangay Bogo is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bogo had a population of 851. This made it the 4th largest of 22 barangays in Maria by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bogo accounted for approximately 5.92% of the total population of Maria, which stood at 14,385 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bogo moving from 842 residents to 851 residents, an intercensal change of +1.1%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bogo as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
