Barangay Cabal-asan

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Cabal-asan is one of the administrative divisions of Maria in Siquijor, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cabal-asan had a population of 389. This made it the 20th largest of 22 barangays in Maria by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabal-asan accounted for approximately 2.70% of the total population of Maria, which stood at 14,385 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cabal-asan moving from 387 residents to 389 residents, an intercensal change of +0.5%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cabal-asan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
