Barangay Saog

Barangay Saog forms part of Marilao, a municipality in Bulacan, and is classified as a very large barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Saog had a population of 15,612. This made it the 3rd largest of 16 barangays in Marilao by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Saog accounted for approximately 6.14% of the total population of Marilao, which stood at 254,453 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Saog moving from 14,950 residents to 15,612 residents, an intercensal change of +4.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Saog as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Marilao is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Saog, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
