Barangay Camansi

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Camansi is one of the administrative divisions of Mayorga in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Camansi had a population of 513. This made it the 16th largest of 16 barangays in Mayorga by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Camansi accounted for approximately 2.84% of the total population of Mayorga, which stood at 18,071 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Camansi moving from 520 residents to 513 residents, an intercensal change of -1.3%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Camansi as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mayorga is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Camansi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
