Barangay Poblacion VII

Barangay Poblacion VII is a small barangay in the municipality of Mendez, located in the province of Cavite, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion VII had a population of 788. This made it the 20th largest of 24 barangays in Mendez by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion VII accounted for approximately 2.26% of the total population of Mendez, which stood at 34,879 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 763 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 788 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Poblacion VII is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mendez is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion VII, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
