Barangay Marintoc

Barangay Marintoc is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Mobo, located in the province of Masbate, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Marintoc had a population of 2,802. This made it the 3rd largest of 29 barangays in Mobo by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Marintoc accounted for approximately 6.86% of the total population of Mobo, which stood at 40,823 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Marintoc moving from 2,715 residents to 2,802 residents, an intercensal change of +3.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Marintoc is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mobo is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Marintoc, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
