Barangay Polot

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Polot is one of the administrative divisions of Mobo in Masbate, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Polot had a population of 1,121. This made it the 15th largest of 29 barangays in Mobo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Polot accounted for approximately 2.75% of the total population of Mobo, which stood at 40,823 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Polot moving from 1,048 residents to 1,121 residents, an intercensal change of +7.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Polot is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
