Barangay Sambulawan

Barangay Sambulawan is a very small barangay in the municipality of Mobo, located in the province of Masbate, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sambulawan had a population of 378. This made it the 29th largest of 29 barangays in Mobo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sambulawan accounted for approximately 0.93% of the total population of Mobo, which stood at 40,823 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sambulawan moving from 290 residents to 378 residents, an intercensal change of +30.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Sambulawan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
