Barangay Poblacion 1

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Poblacion 1 is one of the administrative divisions of Moncada in Tarlac, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion 1 had a population of 1,802. This made it the 10th largest of 37 barangays in Moncada by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion 1 accounted for approximately 2.87% of the total population of Moncada, which stood at 62,819 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,620 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,802 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Poblacion 1 is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Moncada is a municipality comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion 1, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
