Situated in Moncada, Tarlac, Barangay Santa Monica is one of 37 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

This made it the 12th largest of 37 barangays in Moncada by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Monica accounted for approximately 2.82% of the total population of Moncada, which stood at 62,819 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Santa Monica moving from 1,674 residents to 1,769 residents, an intercensal change of +5.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
