Barangay Paloyon Proper

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Paloyon Proper is one of the administrative divisions of Nabua in Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Paloyon Proper had a population of 3,085. This made it the 7th largest of 42 barangays in Nabua by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Paloyon Proper accounted for approximately 3.57% of the total population of Nabua, which stood at 86,490 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,964 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,085 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +4.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Paloyon Proper as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Nabua is a municipality comprising 42 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Paloyon Proper, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
