Barangay Pinamuk-an

Situated in New Washington, Aklan, Barangay Pinamuk-an is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pinamuk-an had a population of 2,890. This made it the 9th largest of 16 barangays in New Washington by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pinamuk-an accounted for approximately 6.03% of the total population of New Washington, which stood at 47,955 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Pinamuk-an changed from 2,951 to 2,890, a shift of -2.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in New Washington. Barangay Pinamuk-an is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

New Washington is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pinamuk-an, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Aklan, which contains 327 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pinamuk-an ranks 50th by 2020 population.
