Barangay Datu Maguiales

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Datu Maguiales is one of the administrative divisions of Palimbang in Sultan Kudarat, SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Datu Maguiales had a population of 1,280. This made it the 38th largest of 40 barangays in Palimbang by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Datu Maguiales accounted for approximately 1.38% of the total population of Palimbang, which stood at 92,828 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Datu Maguiales changed from 1,958 to 1,280, a shift of -34.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Palimbang. Barangay Datu Maguiales is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Palimbang is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Datu Maguiales, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
