Barangay Baguinbin

Situated in Palompon, Leyte, Barangay Baguinbin is one of 50 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Baguinbin had a population of 948. This made it the 26th largest of 50 barangays in Palompon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baguinbin accounted for approximately 1.63% of the total population of Palompon, which stood at 58,313 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Baguinbin changed from 902 to 948, a shift of +5.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Palompon. Barangay Baguinbin is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Palompon is a municipality comprising 50 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Baguinbin, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Leyte, which contains 1,641 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Baguinbin ranks 668th by 2020 population.
