Barangay Liberty

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Liberty is one of the administrative divisions of Palompon in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Liberty had a population of 834. This made it the 33rd largest of 50 barangays in Palompon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Liberty accounted for approximately 1.43% of the total population of Palompon, which stood at 58,313 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Liberty moving from 829 residents to 834 residents, an intercensal change of +0.6%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Liberty is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
