Barangay Villa Crespo

Barangay Villa Crespo is a very small barangay in the municipality of Patnongon, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Villa Crespo had a population of 465. This made it the 27th largest of 36 barangays in Patnongon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villa Crespo accounted for approximately 1.21% of the total population of Patnongon, which stood at 38,329 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Villa Crespo changed from 463 to 465, a shift of +0.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Patnongon. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Villa Crespo as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Patnongon is a municipality comprising 36 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Villa Crespo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Antique, which contains 590 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Villa Crespo ranks 450th by 2020 population.
