Barangay Masico

Barangay Masico is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Pila, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Masico had a population of 2,753. This made it the 9th largest of 17 barangays in Pila by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Masico accounted for approximately 5.04% of the total population of Pila, which stood at 54,613 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Masico moving from 2,408 residents to 2,753 residents, an intercensal change of +14.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Masico is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
