Barangay Ipil (Pob.)

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Ipil (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Placer in Surigao Del Norte, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ipil (Pob.) had a population of 1,014. This made it the 10th largest of 20 barangays in Placer by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ipil (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.42% of the total population of Placer, which stood at 29,616 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,021 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,014 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.7%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. Barangay Ipil (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Placer is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ipil (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
