Barangay Pandan

Barangay Pandan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Pontevedra, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pandan had a population of 3,390. This made it the 5th largest of 20 barangays in Pontevedra by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pandan accounted for approximately 6.22% of the total population of Pontevedra, which stood at 54,502 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pandan moving from 2,288 residents to 3,390 residents, an intercensal change of +48.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pandan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
