Barangay Zamora

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Zamora is one of the administrative divisions of Pontevedra in Negros Occidental, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Zamora had a population of 1,333. This made it the 15th largest of 20 barangays in Pontevedra by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Zamora accounted for approximately 2.45% of the total population of Pontevedra, which stood at 54,502 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Zamora changed from 1,071 to 1,333, a shift of +24.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Pontevedra. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Zamora as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pontevedra is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Zamora, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
