Barangay Linindingan

Barangay Linindingan is a small barangay in the municipality of Poona Piagapo, located in the province of Lanao Del Norte, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Linindingan had a population of 1,163. This made it the 9th largest of 26 barangays in Poona Piagapo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Linindingan accounted for approximately 3.99% of the total population of Poona Piagapo, which stood at 29,183 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Linindingan moving from 1,094 residents to 1,163 residents, an intercensal change of +6.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Linindingan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Poona Piagapo is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Linindingan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Lanao Del Norte, which contains 506 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Linindingan ranks 229th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
