Barangay Lumbatan

Barangay Lumbatan forms part of Poona Piagapo, a municipality in Lanao Del Norte, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lumbatan had a population of 1,076. This made it the 12th largest of 26 barangays in Poona Piagapo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lumbatan accounted for approximately 3.69% of the total population of Poona Piagapo, which stood at 29,183 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lumbatan changed from 1,052 to 1,076, a shift of +2.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Poona Piagapo. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lumbatan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Poona Piagapo is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lumbatan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
