Barangay Poblacion 2

Barangay Poblacion 2 is a small barangay in the municipality of Pura, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion 2 had a population of 1,208. This made it the 10th largest of 16 barangays in Pura by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion 2 accounted for approximately 4.69% of the total population of Pura, which stood at 25,781 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion 2 moving from 1,059 residents to 1,208 residents, an intercensal change of +14.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion 2 as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
