Barangay 12 (Pob.)

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay 12 (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Salcedo in Eastern Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay 12 (Pob.) had a population of 288. This made it the 31st largest of 41 barangays in Salcedo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay 12 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.30% of the total population of Salcedo, which stood at 22,136 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 262 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 288 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay 12 (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Salcedo is a municipality comprising 41 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 12 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Eastern Samar, which contains 597 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay 12 (Pob.) ranks 508th by 2020 population.
