Barangay Mamangan

Barangay Mamangan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of San Isidro, located in the province of Davao Del Norte, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mamangan had a population of 2,885. This made it the 3rd largest of 13 barangays in San Isidro by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mamangan accounted for approximately 10.59% of the total population of San Isidro, which stood at 27,233 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mamangan moving from 2,559 residents to 2,885 residents, an intercensal change of +12.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Mamangan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Isidro is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mamangan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
