Barangay Sabangan

Barangay Sabangan is a small barangay in the municipality of San Isidro, located in the province of Davao Del Norte, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sabangan had a population of 1,991. This made it the 6th largest of 13 barangays in San Isidro by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sabangan accounted for approximately 7.31% of the total population of San Isidro, which stood at 27,233 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sabangan moving from 1,766 residents to 1,991 residents, an intercensal change of +12.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Sabangan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
