Barangay Masalipit

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Masalipit is one of the administrative divisions of San Miguel in Bulacan, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Masalipit had a population of 3,370. This made it the 21st largest of 49 barangays in San Miguel by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Masalipit accounted for approximately 1.96% of the total population of San Miguel, which stood at 172,073 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,883 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,370 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +16.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Masalipit is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Miguel is a municipality comprising 49 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Masalipit, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bulacan, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Masalipit ranks 354th by 2020 population.
