Barangay Pulong Bayabas

Barangay Pulong Bayabas is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of San Miguel, located in the province of Bulacan, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pulong Bayabas had a population of 2,420. This made it the 32nd largest of 49 barangays in San Miguel by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pulong Bayabas accounted for approximately 1.41% of the total population of San Miguel, which stood at 172,073 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,030 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,420 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +19.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pulong Bayabas as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Miguel is a municipality comprising 49 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pulong Bayabas, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bulacan, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pulong Bayabas ranks 436th by 2020 population. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
