Barangay New Agutaya

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay New Agutaya is one of the administrative divisions of San Vicente in Palawan, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay New Agutaya had a population of 4,374. This made it the 5th largest of 10 barangays in San Vicente by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay New Agutaya accounted for approximately 13.05% of the total population of San Vicente, which stood at 33,507 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay New Agutaya changed from 3,384 to 4,374, a shift of +29.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Vicente. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay New Agutaya as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Vicente is a municipality comprising 10 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay New Agutaya, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
