Barangay Calaboa Oeste

Barangay Calaboa Oeste is a very small barangay in the municipality of Santa Barbara, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Calaboa Oeste had a population of 424. This made it the 52nd largest of 60 barangays in Santa Barbara by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calaboa Oeste accounted for approximately 0.63% of the total population of Santa Barbara, which stood at 67,630 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 279 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 424 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +52.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Calaboa Oeste is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Barbara is a municipality comprising 60 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calaboa Oeste, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
