Barangay Inangayan

Situated in Santa Barbara, Iloilo, Barangay Inangayan is one of 60 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Inangayan had a population of 3,543. This made it the 2nd largest of 60 barangays in Santa Barbara by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Inangayan accounted for approximately 5.24% of the total population of Santa Barbara, which stood at 67,630 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Inangayan moving from 3,337 residents to 3,543 residents, an intercensal change of +6.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Inangayan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Barbara is a municipality comprising 60 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Inangayan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
