Barangay Omambog

Situated in Santa Barbara, Iloilo, Barangay Omambog is one of 60 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Omambog had a population of 215. This made it the 60th largest of 60 barangays in Santa Barbara by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Omambog accounted for approximately 0.32% of the total population of Santa Barbara, which stood at 67,630 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Omambog changed from 190 to 215, a shift of +13.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Santa Barbara. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Omambog as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Barbara is a municipality comprising 60 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Omambog, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
