Barangay Talalak

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Talalak is one of the administrative divisions of Santa Catalina in Negros Oriental, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Talalak had a population of 4,765. This made it the 5th largest of 22 barangays in Santa Catalina by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Talalak accounted for approximately 6.15% of the total population of Santa Catalina, which stood at 77,501 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Talalak moving from 4,160 residents to 4,765 residents, an intercensal change of +14.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Talalak is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
