Barangay Manueva

Barangay Manueva is a small barangay in the municipality of Santa, located in the province of Ilocos Sur, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Manueva had a population of 971. This made it the 2nd largest of 26 barangays in Santa by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Manueva accounted for approximately 6.48% of the total population of Santa, which stood at 14,992 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Manueva moving from 955 residents to 971 residents, an intercensal change of +1.7%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Manueva is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Manueva, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
