According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sacuyya Sur had a population of 538. This made it the 14th largest of 26 barangays in Santa by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sacuyya Sur accounted for approximately 3.59% of the total population of Santa, which stood at 14,992 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 571 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 538 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -5.8%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Sacuyya Sur is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Santa is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sacuyya Sur, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
