Barangay Pob. District I

Situated in Silago, Southern Leyte, Barangay Pob. District I is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pob. District I had a population of 1,286. This made it the 4th largest of 15 barangays in Silago by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pob. District I accounted for approximately 9.80% of the total population of Silago, which stood at 13,116 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pob. District I moving from 1,339 residents to 1,286 residents, an intercensal change of -4.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Pob. District I is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
