Barangay Salvacion

Situated in Silago, Southern Leyte, Barangay Salvacion is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Salvacion had a population of 652. This made it the 9th largest of 15 barangays in Silago by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Salvacion accounted for approximately 4.97% of the total population of Silago, which stood at 13,116 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Salvacion moving from 642 residents to 652 residents, an intercensal change of +1.6%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Salvacion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
