Barangay Navarro (Pob.)

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Navarro (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Socorro in Surigao Del Norte, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Navarro (Pob.) had a population of 2,822. This made it the 4th largest of 14 barangays in Socorro by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Navarro (Pob.) accounted for approximately 10.88% of the total population of Socorro, which stood at 25,942 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Navarro (Pob.) changed from 3,784 to 2,822, a shift of -25.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Socorro. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Navarro (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Socorro is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Navarro (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Surigao Del Norte, which contains 335 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Navarro (Pob.) ranks 38th by 2020 population.
