Barangay Pamosaingan

Situated in Socorro, Surigao Del Norte, Barangay Pamosaingan is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pamosaingan had a population of 1,191. This made it the 7th largest of 14 barangays in Socorro by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pamosaingan accounted for approximately 4.59% of the total population of Socorro, which stood at 25,942 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Pamosaingan changed from 1,229 to 1,191, a shift of -3.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Socorro. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pamosaingan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Socorro is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pamosaingan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
