Barangay Cabalawan

Situated in Sogod, Cebu, Barangay Cabalawan is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cabalawan had a population of 2,995. This made it the 5th largest of 18 barangays in Sogod by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabalawan accounted for approximately 7.59% of the total population of Sogod, which stood at 39,447 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cabalawan moving from 2,829 residents to 2,995 residents, an intercensal change of +5.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Cabalawan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
