Barangay Calumboyan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Calumboyan is one of the administrative divisions of Sogod in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calumboyan had a population of 3,286. This made it the 4th largest of 18 barangays in Sogod by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calumboyan accounted for approximately 8.33% of the total population of Sogod, which stood at 39,447 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Calumboyan moving from 2,896 residents to 3,286 residents, an intercensal change of +13.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calumboyan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sogod is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calumboyan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
