Barangay Liki

Situated in Sogod, Cebu, Barangay Liki is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Liki had a population of 2,090. This made it the 9th largest of 18 barangays in Sogod by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Liki accounted for approximately 5.30% of the total population of Sogod, which stood at 39,447 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Liki moving from 1,911 residents to 2,090 residents, an intercensal change of +9.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Liki as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sogod is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Liki, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
